SUMMARY:OZC at the 2025 VARAC Vintage Grand Prix Lapping Day
DESCRIPTION:Every year as part of the annual VARAC Vintage Grand Prix weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park\, VARAC runs a lapping/test day on the Thursday of the event. \nAnd every year\, a handful of Z cars from OZC join them! \nBy far it is the best “bang for your buck” on the Grand Prix Track at CTMP\, with this year’s fee staying at only $400 for the day. \nThis is not an aggressive track day – it’s a well organized\, well run\, good people kind of event.  Only one group is available for street cars (so the diversity of cars is vast) – but everyone who has attended in the past has expressed what great value it is\, and what a fantastic day they had with lots of run time. \nBonus is that you’ll get to see all the race cars up close and personal that will be racing at the VARAC Vintage Grand Prix that weekend. \nTo register\, access the event website listed in the details below; for more information you can contact event organizer Colleen Samila (varacvgp@gmail.com) or for an OZC member’s perspective you can contact Glenn Walker at glenn.walker@bell.net

DESCRIPTION:The OZC has once again been invited to participate in the Drive Festival at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park\, Bowmanville\, Ontario – on Saturday and Sunday of the event. \nWe are looking for up to 10 vehicles to be displayed in the club section of the event on the Friday\, Saturday and/or Sunday September 6\,7 and 8. There is no cost to display vehicles and it includes two complementary general admission day tickets for the day of the show. You do not need to stay by your vehicle all day and are free to explore the show. \nTo be eligible you must: \n\nHave a vehicle in displayable condition.\nArrive at least 1 hour prior to the show opening to the general public. (by 9am)\nMeet as a group in the parking lot outside the event in order to be moved in at the same time.\nHave vehicle on display until the show closes. (6pm)\n\nFellow OZC members that are interested in attending the show but do not wish to display their vehicle inside the show may park in the “show and shine corral” outside the show (based on availability) OZC members will also receive 20% off the ticket price for the day of their choice for the entire weekend Friday through Sunday. \nIdeally the (up to 10) vehicles displayed each day would represent all generations of the Z car\, however this will depend on the amount of members that wish to participate. SUMMARY:OZC at the 2022 VARAC Vintage Grand Prix Lapping Day
DESCRIPTION:Every year as part of the annual VARAC Vintage Grand Prix weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park\, VARAC runs a lapping/test day on the Thursday of the event. \nAnd every year\, a handful of Z cars from OZC join them! \nBy far it is the best “bang for your buck” on the Grand Prix Track at CTMP\, with this year’s fee staying at only $350 for the day. \nThis is not an aggressive track day – it’s a well organized\, well run\, good people kind of event.  Only one group is available for street cars (so a diversity of cars is vast) – but everyone who has attended in the past has expressed what great value it is\, and what a fantastic day they had with lots of run time. \nBonus is that you’ll get to see all the race cars up close and personal that will be racing at the VARAC Vintage Grand Prix that weekend. \nTo register\, access the event website listed in the details below; for more information you can contact event organizer Ted Michalos (vgp@varac.ca) or for a OZC member’s perspective you can contact nigelwhite1971@gmail.com or howieyoshida@gmail.com
