DESCRIPTION:OZC’s spring swap meet is heading back into the heart of Toronto this spring. \nFlorida Garage has graciously offered to host this year’s event.  They’ve recently become the go-to shop for Datsun/Nissan owners – stocking parts and offering regular maintenance in addition to complete engine and transmission rebuilds\, carburetor tuning and rebuilding and so much more.  Check out the glowing online google reviews of their work and service. \nYou’ll recognize OZC Member Quentin Yarie’s brilliant orange racecar in their nearly over 10\,000 square feet – and of course the master mechanic Tony Silvaggio (previously of Whitehead Performance). \nReserve a display table and bring all your parts.  There’s no table reservation charge for 2024 OZC club members; the cost is $10.00 a table for non-members and interested vendors.   The deadline for reserving a table is April 25. \nIf you are bringing a trailer or selling from the trunk of your car – there will be space available in the parking lot – just call ahead and let us know you’ll be coming and how much space you need. \nQuestions\, Table Reservations and Payments can be emailed to info@ontariozcar.com \nWe’re looking forward to seeing you at this typically best attended event social and practical of the year (outside of Z-Fest of course!) \nPhoto by Rick Miron

SUMMARY:OZC at the 2024 VARAC Vintage Grand Prix Lapping Day
DESCRIPTION:Every year as part of the annual VARAC Vintage Grand Prix weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park\, VARAC runs a lapping/test day on the Thursday of the event. \nAnd every year\, a handful of Z cars from OZC join them! \nBy far it is the best “bang for your buck” on the Grand Prix Track at CTMP\, with this year’s fee staying at only $400 for the day. \nThis is not an aggressive track day – it’s a well organized\, well run\, good people kind of event.  Only one group is available for street cars (so the diversity of cars is vast) – but everyone who has attended in the past has expressed what great value it is\, and what a fantastic day they had with lots of run time. \nBonus is that you’ll get to see all the race cars up close and personal that will be racing at the VARAC Vintage Grand Prix that weekend. \nTo register\, access the event website listed in the details below; for more information you can contact event organizer Peter Lambrinos (varacvgp@gmail.com) or for an OZC member’s perspective you can contact nigelwhite1971@gmail.com

DESCRIPTION:Once again OZC will be attending Canal Days in Port Colborne – one of the many amazing events planned for a weekend full of celebrations. \nOZC Member Harry Wells (and family) will be hosting a much anticipated BBQ after the event… we have done this in previous years and it’s always an amazing event! \nThe day will consist of:\n– 8am to 4pm attend Sewell’s NAPA Automotive Annual Classic Car Show at the T.A. Lannan Sports Complex in Port Colborne (entry is open until noon)\n– 4:30pm onward… BBQ at the home of Harry Wells (food and beverages will be provided if you RSVP) \nPlease RSVP to Harry at harryawells@gmail.com for details (and so we can get a good idea on how much food to have at the BBQ!) \nParticipation in the Car Show is free and car owners can compete for a number of trophies and prizes. SUMMARY:OZC at Drive Festival 2024
DESCRIPTION:The OZC has once again been invited to participate in the Drive Festival at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park\, Bowmanville\, Ontario – on Saturday and Sunday of the event. \nWe are looking for up to 10 vehicles to be displayed in the club section of the event on the Friday\, Saturday and/or Sunday September 6\,7 and 8. There is no cost to display vehicles and it includes two complementary general admission day tickets for the day of the show. You do not need to stay by your vehicle all day and are free to explore the show. \nTo be eligible you must: \n\nHave a vehicle in displayable condition.\nArrive at least 1 hour prior to the show opening to the general public. (by 9am)\nMeet as a group in the parking lot outside the event in order to be moved in at the same time.\nHave vehicle on display until the show closes. (6pm)\n\nFellow OZC members that are interested in attending the show but do not wish to display their vehicle inside the show may park in the “show and shine corral” outside the show (based on availability) OZC members will also receive 20% off the ticket price for the day of their choice for the entire weekend Friday through Sunday. \nIdeally the (up to 10) vehicles displayed each day would represent all generations of the Z car\, however this will depend on the amount of members that wish to participate.
